Volunteer at Habitat for Humanity's ReStore
Find out what's happening in San Carloswith free, real-time updates from Patch.
9 a.m. 1411 Industrial Rd, San Carlos
The ReStore is a volunteer-driven social enterprise that accepts and resells new and re-useable building materials, appliances, hardware, and furniture to the public at a fraction of the normal retail price. All proceeds go to Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco to fund the construction of homes in San Francisco, Marin and San Mateo Counties. So, we like to call the ReStore “the store that builds.” Volunteers are so important to the ReStore. We need help picking up donations, organizing, cleaning, sorting, and setting up showcases. Volunteers also work in the office updating our online databases, posting to social media, and contributing to whatever projects come up. We even have volunteer cashiers! You can view a full list of volunteer opportunities available here. Our volunteer shifts run from 9-1 and 1-5, Tuesday-Saturday, but we love for volunteers to stay for the whole day. You can sign up here or get in touch with volunteer coordinator Michelle Kanda at 650-731-3108 or mkanda@habitatgsf.org.
