High Winds Knock Out Power to Thousands

From Sunnyvale to San Francisco, PG&E is reporting customers are experiencing power outages Monday morning.

High winds and poor weather were affecting thousands of PG&E customers throughout the Bay Area Monday morning, according to PG&E.

Those most affected were in San Francisco, San Bruno and Redwood City, according to PG&E.

As of 7 a.m., roughly 4,600 customers in San Francisco were without power; another nearly 4,300 were in the dark in Redwood City; and about 4,100 in San Bruno are powerless.

Another nearly 1,700 customers were powerless in both Belmont and West Menlo Park, according to PG&E; more than 1,200 customers in Daly City were affected; and just less than 1,000 customers were without power in Sunnyvale, Vallejo and Menlo Park.

Nearly 600 customers were affected in Richmond, and several hundred more throughout the Bay Area remained affected Monday morning, according to PG&E.
