Think of Surf Air as "Netflix for air travelers."

Peninsula residents heading south can now grab a daily flight from San Carlos to Burbank thanks to a unique new membership-based airline, Surf Air.

According to the latest edition of the San Carlos City Council newsletter, Surf Air launched its inaugural flight last week from the San Carlos Airport to Burbank (Bob Hope Airport).

Surf Air is a membership-based private airline that provides its members “all you can fly” service for a monthly fee of $1,650 plus a $500 initiation fee. Some have referred to it as “Netflix for Air Travelers”.
