Crime Alert: 4 San Carlos Homes Burglarized Wednesday

San Carlos Sheriff's Patrol Bureau asks the community to remain vigilant in the wake of burglaries on Eaton, Brittan, Bromley and Rogers.

San Mateo County Sheriff’s deputies are searching for a suspect who they say burglarized four homes in San Carlos on Wednesday.

Deputies say the suspect burglarized homes in the 2300 block of Brittan Avenue, the 2600 block of Eaton Avenue, the 2700 block of Bromley Drive and the 100 block of Rogers Avenue.

According to a witness who walked out of his home as the suspect was walking toward the front of the residence, the suspect asked if “Catherine” still lived at that address. When the resident said “no,” the suspect turned and left in a vehicle.

The suspect was described as described as a White or Hispanic man in his mid 20s or early 30s earing a white shirt and a tan hat, and having brown collar length curly hair.

The witness described the vehicle as driving a small, white, four-door vehicle--possibly a Honda or Toyota, unknown year or model.

Sheriff’s deputies say these criminals will seek out residences with no one home.   To ensure no one is home, deputies say the burglars will knock on a door; getting an answer, they will come up with a question, such as asking if a person lives there. If they get no answer, they break in and commit the burglary.

The San Carlos Sheriff's Patrol Bureau asks that the community stays vigilant and report any suspicious activity via 911.
