Circle the Block and Come to the Parking Meeting Tonight

The Downtown Parking Study will assess the parking situation in downtown San Carlos.

Learn about the city’s plans for downtown parking at a meeting Wednesday night at the First Baptist Church.

The San Carlos Community Development Department has been working with a consultant on a comprehensive inventory of all downtown parking, both public and private.

The assessment will show how much parking is occupied on certain days and times, and the duration of parked cars in key locations throughout the downtown.  It will also use the parking usage data from the City's Smart Parking pilot program on the first three blocks of Laurel Street.

Wednesday’s meeting is an opportunity for the public to ask questions and provide feedback before the parking study is completed. The draft study will then be presented to the six-member parking advisory committee and the city council.
