Day work, which includes digging with a backhoe and mini-excavator, will be done from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Crews will dig, install utility infrastructure, place concrete panels using a crane, excavate, and pour concrete. Crews will use medium- and heavy-duty diesel vehicles to transport dirt and concrete.

Night work will occur from Sunday, Oct. 21, through Friday, Oct. 26, between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. Crews will pour concrete and use a crane to place concrete panels.

The $147-million project will elevate the Caltrain tracks above three existing at-grade street crossings at San Bruno, San Mateo and Angus Avenues.  A new elevated Caltrain station between San Bruno and San Mateo Avenues will replace the station at Sylvan Avenue.

Work on this project will not disrupt Caltrain service.
