Get your vote in as to the best place to spend St. Patrick's Day in Lake Forest.

Expect to spot some green beer and maybe even a shamrock or two in town this weekend in honor of St. Patrick's Day. Whether you wish you were Irish or you are, everyone can sport some green and celebrate on March 17.

As part of our Readers' Choice series, we're asking readers to cast their vote for their favorite local watering hole or restaurant to enjoy the celebration on March 17. Here are some spots where we know the luck o' the Irish will be in full force:

  •  23512 El Toro Rd., Lake Forest
  •  23600 Rockfield Blvd., Lake Forest
  • Boscoe's Sports Grill 23364 El Toro Rd., Lake Forest
  • Our Place 24301 Muirlands Blvd Suite Y, Lake Forest
  • 26772 Portola Pkwy., Foothill Ranch

If you were going to celebrate all things Irish, where would you go?

The voting period closes at 9 a.m. Friday. The winner will be chosen by Patch editors, based on poll votes, comments and reviews in the Places directory.

Tell us what makes your favorite spot so special in the comments, and don't forget to leave a review on the business listing in Patch Places. Did we miss something? Let us know in the comments.

The "Smoking of the Green" on St Patrick's Day is a longtime Irish-American tradition ! Usually observed by the passing of the herb amongst a circle of friends in the parking lot, before entering the pub to enjoy several pints of green beer !! Then afterwards we'll meet up at Boscoe's once again to mount an effort to chase the snakes out of Lake Forest !! What's Irish & sits in your backyard ? Patty O'Furniture !!! Remember as St. Patty said "Give them a light & they'll follow it anywhere" !!!
