Power Outage Affects 7,000 PG&E customers

The 28-minute outage, during the lunch hour Wednesday, affected traffic signals at Holly and Industrial, El Camino Real and St. Francis, Brittan and Laurel and Brittan and El Camino Real.

A power outage that affected 7,146 PG&E customers in San Carlos and Redwood City occurred Wednesday between 12:44 p.m. and 1:12 p.m.

Traffic signals affected in San Carlos were Holly and Industrial, El Camino Real and St. Francis, Brittan and Laurel and Brittan and El Camino Real.

City Hall, the Youth Center on Chestnut and the Fire Station on Alameda were affected, along with Central, White Oaks and Brittan Acres Schools.

Businesses along Laurel Street and El Camino were also affected.

The cause is currently under investigation.

"We know that any outage is an inconvenience and our apologies for these outages," PG&E Senior Account Executive Kathy Lavezzo said in a statement.
