Today, it's an empty space filled with buckets of unopened paint, ladders and assorte tools. But by the end of the month, it will be a new Italian restaurant, with a cozy, intimate interior, serving up cuisine from the southern regions of Italy.
San Carlos Patch stopped in to chat with owner Francesco Ruggiero, the Italian born owner of Delizie, who hails from the gorgeous Amalfi Coast, just a short distance from Naples.
Ruggiero says there is no open date set, but he hopes the place will be ready to go by the end of May.
With just around 40 or so seats, the space will be a small, select group.
Located off of San Carlos Ave. the spot joins Red Hot Chili Peppers and Cuisinette in a new series of restaurants cropping up on the avenue.
Are you going to try Delizie? Let us know in the comments!
Having previously dined with the Ruggiero family in Italy, I must speak highly of their passion and absolute expertise with GENUINE Italian cuisine, particularly of Southern Italian fare. I suspect the guests of Delizie will be greatly impressed with the delicious (and amazing) food, the ambiance, and the caliber of the dining experience.... I have every confidence Delizie will "knock the socks off" the other local restaurants!! Tutto il migliore i miei amici
