Lamburgers and Trappist Beers on Tap for Refuge's 5th Anniversary

It's been five years since the popular San Carlos eatery opened its doors.

Celebrate the fifth anniversary of The Refuge Tuesday evening with a special menu featuring rare Belgian beers, and the restaurant's signature lamburger served with cherry compote, arugula, Swiss cheese and Moroccan spices.

The Refuge, known for its pastrami sandwiches and eclectic beer selection has been one of San Carlos's hottest spots since it opened in March, 2008.

The celebration will kick off at 5:30 tonight and wouldn't be complete without the unveiling of the newly ordained Trappist beer. A Belgian beer glass will be given to the first 50 patrons.
