Encore Performance for Hot Harvest Nights

The popular San Carlos farmers' market has been extended by one week to Sept. 20

Those blustery first few weeks of May are a fading memory now as the autumn warmth and long shadows of September usher in San Carlos' best season. And in celebration of Indian summer, the San Carlos Chamber of Commerce has added an extra week onto its market.

Instead of wrapping up for the season next week, Wendy Schettino the chamber's events manager says the vendors will come out on Sept. 20 for one final hurrah.

"The first few weeks were so cold and blustery that the crowds just didn’t really come out, so we are giving our wonderful vendors one additional night to showcase their gorgeous produce, flowers and specialty foods," said Schettino.

"We’ll also have beer from and wine from on that last night as well," added Schettino.
