The City of San Carlos and San Carlos Chamber of Commerce will host a building materials and supply showcase event that will draw Bay Area residents and professionals to San Carlos on Saturday, August 24 from 10 am – 4 pm.
The goal of the event is to increase awareness of, and generate business for, San Carlos businesses in the building materials, home construction and remodeling industry, as well as to increase awareness of San Carlos as a regional hub for building materials.
Building construction and materials businesses (kitchen and bath remodeling, cabinetry, plumbing, flooring, marble, tiling, etc.) represents the largest commercial segment in the City of San Carlos. There are over 300 building construction and materials businesses in San Carlos alone, and collectively they contribute nearly 30% of the City’s sales tax revenue.
The “Good Living Home Improvement Marketplace” will occur outdoors at the San Carlos Industrial Park, 1100-1200 Industrial Road. Participation in the Marketplace is open to San Carlos businesses that provide new building construction and remodeling services, materials, supplies, landscape services, architects, designers and other related businesses.
Participants will be charged a fee for display space. The event will include product displays and presentations, music, family activities, food trucks, and beer and wine. The event is open to the public, and there will be no charge to attend.
Target audiences for the event are: (1) consumers who are considering purchasing (or will purchase in the future) home construction materials for remodeling, new construction, or other significant home improvement projects, and (2) contractors, builders, designers, architects, and other home building/remodeling professionals who make building material purchases or influence the purchases of their clients.
All San Carlos businesses selling products for use in building or remodeling homes are invited to exhibit. Sponsorship opportunities are also available for industry-related businesses, such as architects and designers, home construction and improvement lending, real estate professionals, title companies, etc.Visit www.sancarloschamber.org for more information and to download event sponsorship and exhibitor applications.
