Glendale-based DreamWorks animation opened a state-of-the art facility in Redwood City last week to bring artists and technical workers under one roof.
DreamWorks currently employs over 600 people locally who previously had worked in separate buildings.
The new facility means the hiring of around 200 new workers, said Studio Head Gail Currey.
"Right now we're looking at a lot of technology people to come in, but over the course of the next few years we're also looking at a lot of artists," Currey told ABC 7 News.
DreamWorks CEO Jeffrey Katzenburg also praised the facility, calling it “a dream come true.”
Employees will enjoy a host of perks, including a screening room, free meals and even a doctor’s office.
Redwood City Mayor Alicia Aguirre joined a group of local political leaders at the opening ceremony.
"Congratulations to all of you for your ongoing commitment to Redwood City," Aguirre said.
