Library Gives New Meaning to Term 'Bookmobile'

Can't get out of your home to pick up library books? No problem, the San Carlos Library will bring materials to you.

Everyone enjoys a visit to the wonderful , but for those times when you are unable to get to there due to illness, physical challenges, seniors without driving privileges, injury, pregnancy/maternity leave, or visual disabilities, the library now offers home delivery.

It's easy---the library will pick out materials and deliver them to your San Carlos home. They will also pick up the old items and deliver the new ones when you're ready.

For more information on San Carlos Library home delivery, or to be a volunteer driver, call 650-591-0341, or go to www.smcl.org/

The San Carlos Library is located at 610 Elm St.

My daughter volunteered for this program through the Redwood City library when she was 16 and first driving--she's now mid-30's. Great service.

Fine article, Joan...May we have permission to reprint it in the San Carlos Friends of the Library newsletter? Also, thank you again for publishing my article about Tom's hanging flower baskets! It helped make for a successful day. Veralyn Davids

Hi Veralyn....We actually have JC at the library to thank for sharing the info with Patch to begin with! And, yes, thank you for sharing the story in SCFL newsletter. And don't forget to tell all the Friends to "like" San Carlos Patch on Facebook!
