The Arts and Culture Commission advises City Council and works to promote the arts, history and scientific ongoings of San Carlos. The group also acts as a liaison between art, historical and scientific community groups and the city.
The commission meets at least quarterly. Those meetings are typically held on the fourth Tuesdays of February, May, August and November.
