Ashton Kutcher's 'jOBS' Movie Will Close Sundance

Steve Jobs's childhood home in Los Altos also gets its premiere at the indie film festival on the final night, in shrewd move by organizers.

Sundance Film Festival organizers have chosen the Steve Jobs biopic starring Ashton Kutcher for its closing night slot.

Organizers announced Monday the 29 films that will compete and make their world premieres in Sundance, Utah in January. Daniel Miller of the Hollywood Reporter called the closing night showing of the film about the Apple co-counder as a shrewd move that virtually ensures that film buyers, executives and agents stick around Park City to the end in order to see the movie.

Kutcher takes on the role of the Apple co-founder in "jOBS," covering the company's start in unincorporated Los Altos after Jobs' graduation from Homestead High School to the black-turtleneck-clad CEO that turned the company into the consumer tech icon it is today.

Los Altans and others flocked to the three-day location shoot at Jobs' childhood home on Crist Drive in south Los Altos last June. Jobs' stepmother, Marilyn Jobs still lives in the home, but his father, Paul Jobs, passed away several years ago.
