Say it Out Loud With a Laurel Street Banner

The precious airspace above Laurel Street is there for the taking--all you need to do is follow these guidelines to get your message out there on a banner.

Hometown Days...Hot Harvest Nights....Summer Concerts....all popular San Carlos events whose dates are heralded on a banner that spans one of the city's most prominent thoroughfares--Laurel Street.

But you don't need to be a big organization or a city event to utilize the display banner. The city maintains a calendar of display availability, and residents, businesses and organizations can make reservations to utilize the banner space.

Summary of Policies and Procedures as follows:

Find out what's happening in San Carloswith free, real-time updates from Patch.

  1. Reservations are booked on a first come first served basis and the event's "priority status."
  2. City or City-Sponsored events are given "First-Priority Status."
  3. Banner approval per event is for an automatic one-week display only.
  4. Applications for profit organizations or events outside of San Carlos/Belmont are not accepted at this time.
  5. Reservations do not guarantee banner placement but rather serves as a placeholder unless requirements have been met.
  6. Banner requests from approved non-profit organizations are given "Second-Priority Status."
