San Carlos Home Report: What do you get for $850,000?

Want to know what $850,000 buys you in the San Carlos housing market? Here's what to expect.

Ever wonder what $800,000 - $899,000 will buy you in the San Carlos housing market?  You’re about to find out!

There are currently 10 homes for sale in San Carlos, priced in the $800,000’s.*  Here’s a sample of what’s available.

Priced at the top of the range at $899,000, 1633 Brittan Avenue, listed by Deborah Chelini with Coldwell Banker, offers 4 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms with 1840 square feet of interior space and a 6120 square foot lot.  This single, detached residence is tastefully updated inside and out.

Midway in the price range is 46 Vine Street, on the market in February and listed by Bryce Cook, Today Sotheby’s International Realty for $849,988.  The 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom home is 1468 square feet on an 8140 square foot lot and features an updated kitchen and bay views.  

9 Mayflower Lane, priced at $829,000 and listed in January by Keri Nicholas, Coldwell Banker, is the lowest priced home in the price range.  The 1800 square foot, 2 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom townhouse boasts a gourmet kitchen, formal dining room, 2 master suites, and spectacular views.  

Representative of the 3 San Carlos properties with current pending sales is 2631 Howard Avenue, listed by Jennifer Tasto of Property Services with the price reduced to $858,000 and after 98 days on the market.  Originally on the market for $899,000 with 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms and 2038 square feet, the 2-story home sits on a 4950 square foot lot and features a “new” kitchen and master suite with office.  

Over the past 6 months there have been 14 sales of San Carlos homes in the $800,000’s.

131 Molton Avenue, priced at $900,000 and listed by Gary Rossetto with Carlmont Associates, sold in September, 2010, for $880,000 after 43 days on the market.  Offering 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms along with a separate dining room and family room, the 1660 square foot Devonshire Canyon home is on a 5050 square foot lot.  

Selling for $800,000 in December, 2010, 89 Ensenada Road, originally listed for $829,000 by Rahsaan Dean, In House Industries, was on the market for 106 days.  The updated, 1690 square foot, 3 bedroom, 2 bath home features a family room, bay view and 9880 square foot lot.
