Relay For Life Coming To Burton Park

Event chair Allie Glatt putting together the fundraising event in San Carlos.

You've had to stay up all night studying for finals or putting the finishing touches on that long-term project.

You've had the practice and now you can use that experience to help raise funds for the American Cancer Society via the Relay for Lif of San Carlos.

The event begins Saturday at 10 a.m. on a special track that will go around the Bob Flanagan baseball field and ends on Sunday at 10 a.m.

Single runners/walkers can compete, though teams are forming of between two and 13 members. The Cub Scout Pack 65 team raised nearly $500 a week before the event.

Teams of people can camp out in the park and take turns running or walking the track in support of the American Cancer Society and its theme of "Celebrate, Remember, Fight Back."
