Ralston Ave. and Alameda de las Pulgas Pavement Striping in Belmont

An announcement from SMC Non-Emergency.

Pavement lane striping work will take place at night on Ralston Avenue (from El Camino Real to Cipriani Boulevard) and Alameda de las Pulgas (from Covington Road North to Covington Road South) as part of the 2011 Capital Pavement Maintenance Project.

Night work takes place from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday, Aug. 15. No full lane closures are anticipated. At most, when laying out crosswalks and markings, cross lanes will be closed for a maximum of five minutes. There will be minimal or no light and noise caused by work.

Work may continue on Ralston Avenue from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16 through Wednesday, Aug. 17 to complete the lane marking. Traffic delays should be expected.

Work on Ralston Avenue and Alameda de las Pulgas will be completed by Aug. 17 in order to accommodate the beginning of the school year in Belmont. 

Residents are asked to contact Belmont Police Department at 650-595-7400 with any concerns during the night work.
