Rain or Shine, Santa's Landing at Hiller Saturday Morning

It’s a bird! It’s a plane! No it’s Santa Claus waving from a helicopter that is circling the airfield in front of the Hiller Aviation Museum on his way to landing in San Carlos at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1, just as he has every year for nearly 15 years.

The event is sponsored by the San Carlos Chamber of Commerce and Hiller Aviation Museum, which invite families to watch Santa land at 601 Skyway Rd. and welcome him to town. He will join them to sing along with the then proceed to his special chair to greet children individually so they can whisper their holiday wishes in his ear.

Zest Bakery is supplying cookies while Kindercourt Schools provides candy canes and juice.

Parents and grandparents are encouraged to bring a camera!

At 12:30 pm, Santa waves goodbye from a fire truck which transports him to his house at 760 Laurel St. There he will greet children until 2 pm. Children can visit him there each Saturday, Dec. 8, 15 and 22 from noon to 2 pm. The jolly one has a gift of coloring books and candy canes for each.
