Photo of the Day: Young Pilot's Imagination Goes Aloft
The event featured a World War II-era Mustang fighter, a Bell UH-1 Iroquois "Huey" helicopter and other unique aircraft.
Saturday's San Carlos Airport Day 2013 fulfilled its mission to engage the community to learn about the airport and have a fun day."
Aviation fans of all ages were treated to a variety of up-close and personal experiences with everything from sitting in the cockpit of an Iroquois "Huey" helicopter, to the backseat of a San Mateo County Sheriff's patrol car.
