Memorial Day Gas Prices Continue to Drop
Menlo Park, Redwood City and Half Moon Bay prices are under $3.90 per gallon, while San Carlos gas is among the more expensive.
Peninsula gas prices continue to drop this Memorial Day weekend, with prices less than $3.90 per gallon in Menlo Park, Half Moon Bay and Redwood City.
Millbrae is still the highest-priced city for gasoline in San Mateo County. With its proximity to San Francisco International airport, travelers returning rental cars often fill up in Millbrae.
Southern California continues to see some of the highest prices in California; a Mobil station in West Covina is reportedly selling a gallon of regular gas for $4.91.

Fresno and Vallejo seem the least expensive areas to fill up the tank. Gas stations in those areas are selling their product for about $3.75.

Traveling to a nearby state this weekend? Gas prices in Oregon now average $3.87/gallon; in Nevada, $3.78 on average; in Arizona, gas averages $3.65 per gallon of gas.
The highest prices in the nation? Hawaii, at $4.28 a gallon. The lowest? In Greenville, South Carolina, gas prices average $3.46/gallon.
The next U.S. Energy Information Administration weekly survey will be released Tuesday, after the long holiday weekend. When last reported, California prices averaged $4.12. That average will likely continue to drop.
