Hometown Days Returns this Weekend

The family festival in San Carlos runs for three days.

 

For 32 years, the Hometown Days parade has been gracing San Carlos’ streets with marching bands, pony rides, music, petting zoos and bouncy castles. It’s a beloved community event run exclusively by volunteers and paid for with donations.

The event draws the attention of more than 12,000 people from around the Bay Area.

And now, it’s back. 

Today tomorrow and Sunday, the family festival voted the best by Bay Area Parent Magazine returns with all of its charm and festive spirit.

Hometown Days kicks off today at 5 p.m. at Burton Park's Madsen Field with music by local elementary and junior high music programs funded by the San Carlos Education Foundation.

The Hometown Days Committee has partnered with the City, the Chamber of Commerce, the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office, the Fire Department, the Kiwanis Club, the Lion’s Club, the Rotary Club, the San Carlos Education Foundation, and the Arbor Bay School to provide the best possible experience and to help out the volunteers to ensure safety.
