My favorite part of Hometown Days was seeing the amazing and superhuman efforts of the behind-the-scenes volunteers that make this wonderful, best-in-class take place each year. The volunteer Steering Committee, community groups, food providers, marketplace vendors, and other partners--all deserve kudos for making this happen. If you know of anyone or a business that would like great visibility in front of 12,000 people, then please get in touch before our 2012sponsorship spaces fill up.

Hometown Days is not sponsored by SCEF. It is put on by a group of community volunteers Chaired by Linda Teutschel and gives an opportunity for local organizations to raise funds for their own charitable purposes. SCEF has other fund-raising events which are very successful and it does a great job of supporting the education of our kids in San Carlos. Hometown Days participants support a wide variety of community needs. It was another great year in spite of the wind and it's great fun to see so many families, kids, and pets having a great time, playing great games, eating great food and visiting with friends and neighbors. Congratulations to Linda Teutschel for leading another great year of Hometown Days.

Mr. Frances, please do your research before you post. Had you taken a look at the San Carlos Hometown Days website, you would have gotten everything you need. www.sancarlohometowndays.com. Thanks! Laura Teutschel (daughter of Charman, Linda); Hometown Days Publicity Chairman
