Hillside Trails Expansion Grand Opening
The Trails Connections Committee has been working toward expanding the city's trail network since 2003.
It's been nine years, thousands of volunteer hours, buckets of sweat, more than a few blisters, and tons of hard work, but at last, the San Carlos Hillside Trails Expansion is complete and a grand opening/ribbon cutting ceremony is in the works for this Saturday at 10 a.m.
This project was a joint effort on behalf of the City of San Carlos Parks and Recreation Dept., the Trails Committee and the San Carlos City Council.
The grand opening will include a short hike, which will involved some brief uphill climbs, so hikers are advised to wear appropriate shoes and clothing.
