Belmont Stretch of Highway 101 to Close During Early Morning Hours Next Week

Travelers on the highway between Ralston Avenue and Hillsdale Blvd will be re-routed during construction work.

A portion of highway 101 will be closed next week so work can be done on the Ralston Avenue Bicycle/Pedestrian Bridge Project in Belmont. 

The highway will be closed between Ralston Avenue and Hillsdale Boulevard from 12:30 a.m. - 4 a.m. Tuesday, and on Wednesday from 1 a.m. - 4:30 a.m.

In Tuesday's northbound detour, motorists will be moved off the highway at the Ralston Avenue offramp. They will follow Ralston Ave west to El Camino Real, then turn north on El Camino Real until they reach Hillsdale Boulevard. A right turn on Hillsdale will finish the detour back to the freeway.

In Wednesday's southbound detour, motorists will exit the freeway at Hillsdale Boulevard, where they will be directed west to El Camino Real, then south on El Camino Real to Ralston Avenue. A left turn on Ralston Avenue will take motorists back to the onramp of the freeway.
