Tuki, a gray cockatiel, owned by Ron and Ranit Cohen accidentally flew out of their San Carlos home last Saturday and hasn't been seen since.
The Cohens live in the Crestview neighborhood of San Carlos, which borders Belmont's Hallmark neighborhood, so Tuki could have flown into Belmont as well.
Ron says Tuki's wings have not been clipped, allowing him to fly for quite a distance. The Cohens are asking for the community's help in finding Tuki.
He added that Tuki was taught the whistling tune "Bridge Over River Kwai," and might come if he hears that familiar whistle. To familiarize yourself with the tune, click here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GF2EsKbd9IQ.
"If you see a grayish cockatiel flying around, please let us know ASAP. We really hope he is at least happy outside. By the way if anyone have any tips on how to make him come home, please post," said Ron in a posting on NextDoor.com.
If you spot Tuki, post a comment here and Patch will contact the Cohens.
