The San Carlos Temporary Library will close on Saturday, Oct. 19, at 5 p.m. to prepare for the re-opening of the newly-renovated San Carlos Library.
After five months of renovations, the San Carlos Library will open on Saturday, Nov. 2, at 10 a.m. Customers are encouraged to visit neighboring libraries during this time for service.
The San Carlos Library Improvement Project focused on reconfiguring the existing layout to create more functional spaces and enhance the experience for the thousands who enjoy the library.
Specific improvements include a special space for teens, an inviting discovery area of attractive displays featuring new books, CDs, and DVDs, quiet reading and study areas, upgraded technology access, expanded children’s room with early literacy computers, a one-point service desk, convenient self-check stations and a colorful, fresh ambiance.
